Digital Month Road Map V3
We are delighted to inform you that we are celebrating the entire month of Ashwin 2081 as “Citizens Digital Month”. In line with our slogan for this FY 2081/82- “Turning Every Account into Transacting Account”, we have taken forward this strategic and impactful initiative to inculcate digitization culture across the organization as well to educate and encourage customer to transact digitally more and more. Considering the upcoming festival season, various promotional activities related with digital transactions have be schedule throughout the month of Ashwin 2081 and all these activities have be tailored to boost various aspects of our digital offerings. The list of offering in our “Citizens Digital Month” are as follows:
- Offering for Customers:
- Digital Lounge: As part of our Citizens Digital Month, we shall inaugurate our new digital lounge, a cutting-edge self-banking space dedicated to enhancing our customers' digital banking experience, in the premises of Corporate Office. This lounge will be equipped with the latest technical machineries used in Banking Sector, including ATMs, self-service kiosks, cash deposit machines, computer or tablet to open online account & use smart services providing a comprehensive range of digital banking services. The inauguration of the center represents our commitment to offering innovative and efficient banking solutions, and we anticipate it will significantly enhance customer satisfaction and engagement.
- Dashain Campaign 1 -Dashain ko Lahar, Citizens Sanga Ghar jane Rahar
This offer is targeted for customers going back to their birth place for Dashain celebration via air route. For the purpose of increasing transacting mobile banking usage of such traveling customers, following cash back offer shall be provided:
- Reward amount/Cash back per Ticket : Rs. Flat 400
- Campaign Duration : Ashwin 6th to 17th of Ashwin 2081
- Terms & Conditions : Txn Type - Air Ticket Purchase (Discount shall be provided based by using PROMO Code which shall be shared later)
- Dashain Campaign 2- Citizens Digital Dakshina:
During this Dashain festive season, for the purpose of targeting more and more customers in using our Bank’s mobile banking services and creating awareness regarding digital transaction, following offer shall be provided to our Mobile banking customers :
- Reward amount per person : Flat Rs. 100
- Campaign Period : 5 Days (Bijayadashi to Chaturthi- Ashwin 26 to Ashwin 30 2081)
- Terms & Conditions : Minimum number of transaction: 1, Min Amount of each transaction: Rs. 500, Remarks should be kept as “Citizens Daskshina” for Fund transfer (variance in spelling shall be considered), Cash back amount shall be credited after 7 working Days of end of Campaign Period.
This could be very encouraging as this year Nepal Rastra Bank will not be providing new notes for Dashain.
- Mobile Banking Campaign -Dashain Ma Digital Karobar, Citizens Bank bata Cash Back ko Bahar:
For the purpose of targeting more and more customers in using our Bank’s mobile banking services during this festive season and creating awareness regarding digital transaction, following Cashback Campaign to our Mobile banking customers shall be provided through the month:
- Reward amount per person : 10% of first transaction or Rs. 100, whichever is lower
- Campaign Period : Ashwin 1st to 30th of Ashwin (or till the utilization of campaign amount, whichever is earlier)
- Terms & Conditions: Minimum number of transaction: 3, Transaction Type: Minimum 1 fund transfer, 1 Merchant QR txn & 1 utility payment each (top up not included), Min Amount of each transaction: Rs. 500, Remarks should be kept as “Citizens Digital Karobar” for Fund transfer (variance in spelling shall be considered), Cash back amount shall be credited after 7 working Days of end of Campaign Period.
- Card Campaign-Dashain ma chalau Citizens Card, pau Cash Back ko Upahar:
For the purpose of increasing cards transactions from customers, following cash back for Debit/Credit card users shall be provided:
- Reward amount per card : Flat Rs. 200
- Budgeted amount : Rs 1,00,000
- Campaign Duration : Ashwin 1st to 30th of Ashwin 2081 (or till the utilization of campaign amount, whichever is earlier)
- Cash back amount shall be credited after 7 working Days of end of Campaign Period.
- Terms & Conditions: Minimum number of transaction: 2 , Txn Type : Minimum 1 POS & 1 E-COM Transaction worth Rs 1,000 each (wallet load will not be eligible)
- QR Teller Campaign -QR Teller bata karobar, pau upahar nai upahar:
For the purpose of increasing awareness of digital teller and increasing habit of using mobile banking for digital teller transaction instead of cost bearing cheques, a surprise gift shall be provided to customers and following procedures shall be followed for the same:
- Customer conducting the digital teller transaction from the branches shall receive the gift during the period from all the branches
- One lucky customer from all the branches will be provided with surprise gift. The lucky winners will be communicated from Deposit Marketing Department in the beginning of the day for distribution of gift. (For example, the customer who conducts 1st, 2nd and so on digital teller transaction may be selected. The Deposit Marketing Department will send out an early morning email detailing which customers conducting order of transaction are eligible for the gift.)
- After providing gift to customer, branch manager shall post picture on social media and collage pictures of all the branches shall be posted in our Banks official social media platform.
- All inside valley branches will be providing gifts to customers transacting from 6th Ashwin 2081 to 11th Ashwin 2081 and all the outside valley branches will be providing gifts to customers transacting from 13th Ashwin 2081 to 18th Ashwin 2081.
- Gifts shall be Citizens pen, tea mat, tumbler, card holder, watch, dairy and key rings. Gift shall be send by Deposit Marketing Department in co-ordination with General Service Department.
- Mobile Banking Activation Campaign- Pahilo Digital Karobar Citizens Sanga, grahak sabai danga:
This campaign shall be implemented with the purpose of targeting converting non transacting mobile banking user to transacting customer and conduct transaction using our Bank’s mobile banking services. Currently, we have around 300K customer who do not have transaction right or have not enrolled in to mobile banking service. This Cashback Campaign is intended for such Mobile banking customers with a view to induce transaction from them. The details are as follows:
- Reward amount per person : 10% of first transaction or Rs.100 whichever is lower
- Campaign Period: Ashwin 1st to 30th of Ashwin (or till the utilization of campaign amount, whichever is earlier)
- Fonepay will provide the 3 mobile phones (Wroth of Rs. 20k exclusive of VAT) through lucky draw.
- Terms & Conditions: Minimum number of transaction: 2,Txn Type: Minimum 1 fund transfer, & 1 utility payment each, Min Amount of each transaction: Rs. 500 for fund transfer and Rs. 200 for utility payments,
- Eligibility: Mobile Banking user who has open account before Bhadra 1st 2081 and does not have transaction right or does not have subscribed mobile banking service yet
- Cash back amount shall be credited after 7 working Days of end of Campaign Period.
- Digital Remittance Receive Campaign- Pau Bidesh bata pathayeko paisa ghar basi basi, Citizensle aajai pasisa thapda jhan khusi:
During this Festive season the inflow of the remittance will be at peak and this campaign shall be implemented with the purpose of targeting remittance receiving customers. In this campaign such remittance receiving customers using our Mobile Banking shall be eligible to get the following rewards:
- Reward amount per person : Flat Rs. 100
- Campaign Period: Ashwin 1st to 30th of Ashwin (or till the utilization of campaign amount, whichever is earlier)
- Terms & Conditions: Min Amount transaction: Rs. 5,000, Customer must receive remittance using our mobile banking, Cash back amount shall be credited after 7 working Days of end of Campaign Period.
- Mobile Banking Renewal Campaign- Discount on renewal of Expired Mobile Banking during festival:
During this festive season, the discount to the customer whose mobile banking is in expired status and could not renewed till 17th of Ashwin 2081 shall be provided discount. The applicable fee shall be only Rs. 150.00 flat instead of Rs. 350.00.
- Smart Bachat Khata Cash Back and Giveaway Campaign
Citizens Smart Bachat Khata is completely digital product and to make it more marketable during the celebration of Citizens Digital month following offers shall be provided to Smart Bachat Khata account holders:
- Reward amount per person : Flat Rs. 100 or 10% of first mobile top up whichever lower
- Campaign Period: Ashwin 1st to 30th of Ashwin
- 14 Lucky Customer (two from each province) shall get attractive gift hamper.
- Budgeted Amount : Rs 50,000
- Terms and Conditions:
- For Reward amount: customer has to open Smart Bachat Khata during the month of Ashwin 2081 and conduct at least of one mobile top up through mobile banking.
- For Gift Hamper: Customer opening Smart Bachat Khatra during 1st of Ashwin to 30th of Ashwin and conducting at least one transaction shall be eligible to gift hamper
- Cash back amount shall be credited after 7 working Days of end of Campaign Period.
- Collaborative Campion for Mobile Top Up in partnership with F1 Soft:
During this Festive season, for the purpose of Citizens Digital Month and increase transacting mobile banking user we are going to do partnership with F1Soft as well as below from 1st of Ashwin to 30th of Ashwin:
Campaign Modality:
- Luckydraw:
Customers who top up Rs. 100 or more will be entered into a lucky draw. Fifty winners will get a Rs. 100 topup, and another fifty will receive a data pack worth Rs. 150. This will create a sense of community and reward among the lucky winners, boosting their positive feelings toward the bank.
- Giveaways
Additionally, Customers who top up Rs. 100 or more during the campaign, there will also be a mega giveaway where 4 winners will be selected to receive one of the prizes available. The prizes include an air fryer, microwave, vacuum cleaner and blender. This special giveaway will add a sense of exclusivity to the campaign and give motivation for customers to actively use mobile banking. Further 25% on TDS amount shall be taken and provided to F1 soft from the giveaways winners.
Further, apart from these campaigns our cash back offer related with Virtual Credit Card for our customers is likely to continue in the month of Ashwin 2081 as well.
- Offering for Branches:
- Inter Branch QR Activation Competition- Citiznes Sanga Pahilo Digital Karobar, Pasal ma Byapar nai baypar
This is Campaign for activation of around 9,000 non transacting QR Merchants turning into transacting QR.
Reward: Top 5 branch activating more than 20 non transacting QR Merchants shall get reward as below

- Campaign Period- 1st Ashwin 2081 to 30th Ashwin 2081
- At least 20 QR merchants must be activated during campaign period
- Minimum number of transaction: 5 Transaction during campaign period
- Txn Type: Any transaction through QR Payment to the merchant (Excluding Staff Transaction)
- Eligibility: QR merchant who has taken QR with us before Shrawan 1st 2081 and has not conducted any of the transaction yet (List of same shall be provided by Transaction Banking)
- Transaction Banking shall verify the transaction for the reward.
- Reward and Certification of Appreciation shall be provided within 15 days of the end of the campaign
- Special award to Branches
To recognize and celebrate excellence during Citizens Digital Month, special rewards and appreciation letters from our CEO to the best-performing branches in each Branch Category shall be provided. One top branch will be chosen from each branch category, acknowledging their outstanding performance in increasing digital transactions during the Citizens Digital Month.
